The fresh, innovative talks she produced as Managing Editor of TEDMED have generated tens of millions of views on TED.com and other platforms. She designs programs and experiences that bring multinational organizations, senior executives, change makers, and creatives together to see and think differently. She has built successful partnerships, pioneering businesses and events for premier brands such as Time Inc., amazon.com, TEDMED, Downtown Project, Danone, the Next Einstein Forum, and the American Academy of Family Physicians. Now she is recognized as a savvy, genuinely insightful ‘dot connector,’ linking and synthesizing technical verticals in science and business to the humanities and creative pursuits.
Most recently, Lisa served as the Magical Awesomeness Catalyst for Downtown Project, working closely with Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh on his vision to transform downtown Las Vegas into a community-oriented large city through early stage investments. She was appointed Curator for Inspire Theater and the Life is Beautiful Festival, where she programmed a broad spectrum of speakers and performers, such as Penn & Teller, Pussy Riot, and Cirque du Soleil performers.
Prior to Downtown Project, Lisa’s passion for health and human potential led her to become the Managing Editor & Producer of TEDMED, where she led the selection and preparation of many renowned presenters for its extensive annual stage program. She hosted the global broadcast from the Opera House of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. In 2014, Disruptive Women in Health Care named Lisa to its inaugural class of ‘Women to Watch’ for her signature style of connecting communities through content.
Earlier in her career, Lisa supported her ‘music habit’ as a marketer, inventor and business executive for Synapse Group, a subsidiary of Time Warner, and Walker Digital, a business invention firm. Along the way, she became a health educator in biomechanics, behavioral change and the healing power of movement, and is a former faculty member of the Feldenkrais Insitute of New York.
Lisa holds a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University. She travels extensively, and visits her beagle, Roscoe, in New York City as often as possible. A lifelong reader, she is the collector of several hundred children’s picture books.
